									<p>An aeronautics manufacturer needed a part fabricated using AMS 5666 specified Inconel 625. The part was a component that would be exposed to high heat. It was also very small and needed to mate well with other components. The GD&amp;T specifications were very tight for this component.</p><p>Boyer machines complex superalloys. Their decades of expertise in machining precise, small parts and their metallurgical knowledge allow them to produce parts based on form, fit and function. </p><p>In this case, the Inconel is a very hard, annealed nickel-based superalloy. It requires slower speeds when turning it. Boyer used a Swiss-style lathe with a sliding headstock to machine this small part. It was produced in one setup to reduce waste and meet production-delivery times. Dimensional tolerances were measured and tested during the production process to ensure the parts were meeting specifications. </p><p>In the end, the customer was very pleased.
